Whether you are a new or continuing student, it is helpful to learn or review basic yoga postures. We will use a series of postures to see how to balance and distribute your weight between your muscles, joints and bones. We will incorporate basic breathing techniques to enhance your strength and vitality. Using proper alignment and props we will do standing, simple inverted, simple backbending, sitting and restorative postures to experience what they offer. You can learn how different postures produce different effects on your bodies. With this knowledge you can adapt your yoga practice to that which your body needs on any particular day.
